Erika has helped orchestrate high-profile events as well as smaller, more intimate gatherings. She has helped plan, publicize and execute large-scale events such as SouthSide Works Exposed, A Wine & Chocolate Experience, Grape Expectations, among many others. Prior to moving to Pittsburgh, she worked on the planning of high profile events including events for Hitachi, Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, and The Pasadena Tournament of Roses. Erika's professional background extends far beyond event production; she has extensive experience in the field of public relations and understands how to leverage her P.R. skills in order to increase awareness for her clients' events. She began her career in marketing communications in the early 90's while working at the powerhouse P.R. agency, Hill & Knowlton Public Relations in Los Angeles. Her professional experience includes media relations, multi-cultural communications, consumer marketing, social marketing, speech writing and of course, special event planning. Locally, she worked in the public relations department of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra before venturing into the world of a small business owner. Erika is involved with local non-profit organizations as the former vice president of the New Pittsburgh Collaborative and the former president of the Latin American Cultural Union |
